gym
Ok I still dont have a date for surgery but I just wanted to share something that happened today.
When I went for my physical evaluation last week they told me to start exercising more. They wanted me to do 50 minutes of cardio at LEAST 5 days a week. Now people...I gotta tell you.....I HATE exercise. I have been doing goo to get to the gym 2 or 3 times a week and then I only do about 30-35 minutes on the eliptical. So this weeK I went to the gym on Monday and did my 50 minutes. I thought I wasnt gonna be able to walk when I got off that darn machine. Tuesday I went back and got on that machine again. I did my 50 minutes and my knees ached after about 30 minutes, but i perservered and finished up. Needless to say...I survived. Wednesday I didnt make it to the gym because we had church. Today I got off work and went to the gym. I hooped up on that machine and cranked up my ipod and something came over me.......I started going on that eliptical and after about 5 minutes I realized I was actually ENJOYING myself! I have never in my life enjoyed exercise! I went thru 55 minutes smiling the whole time and I even raised the resistance! I didnt want to get off when it was over! Now I dont know if it was just a good day or if God did a miracle, but I have to say I am looking forward to going to the gym tomorrow! LOL

That is awesome!!! I have also become addicted to exercise. I knew would have dreamed in a million years that I had it in me You are doing great and if you start out doing this now you will be more successful than most in your surgery. I didn't start until I was 6 months out and I wish I would have started before surgery.
