So last week at my Dr. Apt I decided to go ahead and pick up my supplements. I had been taking 6 calcium capsules 3 multi an Iron, biotin, colace, and Nexium...everyday. I'm a terrible pill taker and it was a REAL struggle for me to remember to get it all in at the right times through out the day. So when I was at the Dr's they told me about this new supplement they were selling to patients. Bariatric Fusion. It's one chewable tablet 4 times a day. it's got all the supplements I need besides the colace and Nexium. so I went down from 13 pills a day to 6. and the best part is the Mixed Berry flavor tastes just like Flinstone vitamins from when I was a kid! It is also the same price as my old routine.

Does it have both calcium and iron? Because I read that if you take them together they don't absorbe correctly.

Good question, I didn't know for sure how it worked so I looked it up...this is what I got straight from the web site...
Are iron and calcium absorbed when combined together in the same tablet?
Iron aids in the body's ability to manufacture enough red blood cells to transport oxygen to all areas of the body. A deficiency in Iron results in anemia. Calcium can inhibit the absorption of Iron in the body. We know that certain factors can affect Iron absorption when Calcium is present, either as food or in a supplement5.
These factors are the
  1. form of iron: Bariatric Fusion® uses ferrous fumarate, which is readily available for absorption and less constipating than other types of iron.
  2. form of the food or supplement: Bariatric Fusion®, a chewable supplement, ensures all the vitamins and minerals contained are in one of the most available forms for adequate absorption.
  3. fatio of iron to calcium: Bariatric Fusion® only has a ratio of 0.4 mg of calcium to 0.01 mg of iron. To have an inhibitory effect of calcium on iron absorption, the ratio would need to be as high as 3 mg of calcium to 0.01 mg of iron6.
Plus, Bariatric Fusion® includes Vitamin C (ascorbic acid), which aids in iron absorption, and Vitamin D to promote calcium absorption.

I'm loving it! it's SO much easier to remember to take them, and it sounds weird but it feels like my body is absorbing them better...I have WAY more energy durning the day than before and i'm sleeping better at night. And I find myself looking forward to taking them because they taste almost like candy to me...also there is no sugar in them.

I'm going to order some on payday.  Sounds like a winner all the way around!

Which flavor are you taking?  Berry, Strawberry, or Orange?

I was given a sample of all 3 and I liked the Berry the best so that's what i'm takeing...it's the one that tastes like flinstone vits. The Strawberry is good in theory...but really nasty on the tongue, and the orange was just okay. It's Berry for me all the way.

What about the cost? How many come in a bottle and for how much? I'm all about making it easier on the pocket book too.

I paid $30 for a bottle of 120 That's a months supply. $30 is the same as what I paid for my old supplements so I'm not really saving anything money wise, but I'm not out any more either and I've gained the convience which to me is worth it alone.
