Skipped cycle, not menopause, not pregnant.

I've consulted Dr. Google and all I can find are studies citing menstrual cycles becoming MORE regular after weight loss surgery.  I've lost a healthy amount of weight, steadily.  I'm actually plateaued at 170ish right now.  Other than that crazy cycle where my guts were coming out in July, my cycles have been fine.  Lighter and a little bit shorter, but nothing drastic. And they've all been REGULAR.

Now I'm a week late, I've taken two pregnancy tests and they've been negative, and I really BETTER NOT BE FREAKIN' PREGNANT ANYWAY, since DH had a vasectomy 6 years ago.  (If it turns out that I am I'm totally going to kick his ass.)  I'm 33 so I really doubt it's peri-menopause.

Pat me on the head and reassure me it's just because of the weight loss!  My kids drive me crazy enough already, they don't need help!

(FTR, I've called and left a message for G's RN, waiting for her to call back and pat my head too.)

Be reassured that it happens to lots of us...It is just your body trying to catch up to everything you are putting it through. From what I have heard, after a surgery it can take your body up to a year to even out.  I know mine was not as normal as it was prior to surgery (and I have been on BC for 10+ years)...BUT it has become normal once again (I am at 10 months). So don't worry, it will come back, and you will be cursing it like normal very soon, LOL!

Thanks!  I talked to Sarah and she told me pretty much the same thing.  I think logically I knew, but the baby-fear had taken hold.  I had been joking about two weeks ago that I wanted another baby.  HEY UNIVERSE!  IT WAS JUST A JOKE!!!

ok, you could be like me....every two weeks it raises it's ugly head!  I am seeing my gyn. tomorrow to see what's going on and what he's going to do about it.  The PA didn't want me to go on BC because of weight gain, but something is going to have to be done.  I haven't been on BC in almost two years, I had a tubal a little over a year ago.  I'm sick of this!!!
The PA did tell me that estrogen is stored in fat, and when we use the fat, it throws off the entire body.
