Stopped by to see Broussard.....WOW moment for sure!
So there I was stopping in to get a glimpse of Toby Broussard and I waited patiently while he finished giving some advice to a couple of folks who needed it...and he had a question about if there was anyone from out of state, i raised my hand....he said "so where are you from?" I told him that I was his Okie from the Virgin Islands and lemme tell ya.... The Doc's eyes were HUGE. he jumped up from the table he was sitting on and gave me a greeting like I was a long lost brother.
He stepped back and said, "Thomas you look incredible!!!!" He just seemed shocked to see the transformation. He said he had heard through the grapevine I was training for a tough marathon style race and I told him I was, and he wondered if I had had any plastics and I told him that I was the luckiest person that he's ever worked on because i don't have extra skin and I've got a flat belly and defined muscle popping up everywhere.... You could see it in his face that he was shocked to see what his skill and my determination built..... could I use a few improvements? Oh my yes... more hair....ummm...a little bit bigger bunskis, (since i lost what little I had), and a little more ab work to get those "made for lusting" commercials.....but you know, I'll never have any of those things.....but i've got personal pride, and memories of the shock on people's faces to show them that you don't have to suffer to get what you want.
I was very proud of the decisions that I made in order to move myself to a place that I was happy with myself. I was always able to lose huge portions of weight, but I had a proble of eating like insane amounts of bad foods after the weight came off.... surgery cured that vicious cycle for me...
I've lost more than I currently weigh.....YES that's right.... I can't even tell people that I'm half the man I used to be.... so it's cool to have that as a conversation starter...lol.... Anyway, it's very nice to be able to see friends of mine who I've known for nearly all my life and walk around them 20 times and they don't recognize the person I am until i talk.... Yep, I'm still that recognizable Oklahoma Good 'Ole Boy.... I just have less shivering in the islands.... I miss a bunch of you and will hope to see you sometime i the future when I return!
Think Positive and remember: you have to earn what you desire and deserve, nothing worthwhile is easy to attain and if an Okie like me can do it.....anyone can....

I'm a newby - but even I have heard about you and your success! Wish that I could have met you, must have been at the meeting at weight wise Wednesday night? My big day was Monday - didn't really feel quite up to a drive on Wednesday, but next week.
Congradulations on your success - You inspire and motivate the rest of us who are trying to find our health and a new life. Can't keep an Okie down!
Continured success,
Jan

Well thanks to both of you for your kind words! Like I said before, I've always been one of the lucky people and I count my blessings one by one.
I'm looking forward to my next step in the evolution of what my body can do and looking at the limitations that are lifted as I reach for the next stage!
Big Love to you Oklahoma peeps!
