Stress Test, Ghani
Hey Okies, anyone get a stress test done w/Ghani?
Am waiting on th em to call to set up appt, but calling tomorrow thinking if I dont call them, it will never get made.
Do I get the appt with him prior to getting the stress test or do I just do the stress test and then he will get results and then go see him. At this poitn in the dark a bit until I talk to my patient advocate on Thurs. Just would like some advice.

I used Dr Broussard too, and yet Ghani doesn't ring a bell. The only "test" I did was the heart/lung test, which you might be referring to, but don't know. Did they tell you that you'd be on a stationary bike? If so, I can tell you what to expect.
You will meet a gal who isn't an employee of the FBH, but a technician that does this testing for a company. She will get baseline heart and lung stats at rest and then put you on a bike with a ventilator type apparatus that you are wearing in your mouth as you peddle to register your breathing and heart. It's very simple and I believe is just going to decide if you are heart/lung healthy enough to have surgery.
I never saw him prior (that day) or afterwards of the test. I assume that your results will be disussed IF you have problems or don't "pass" so to speak. They made the appt for me, I didn't have to.
Good luck, you're on your way.

I saw Dr. Ghani as well. He is wonderful and sees a lot of WeightWise patients. I had the stress test with him as well. They did a medically induced stress test on me because at 408 pounds I had knees that wouldn't allow the other way. It was no big deal at all. I did make my own appointment for that though with their office. Good luck!
