I have the best news that anyone could have ever gotten. I have lived 7 VERY long years with a trach tube in my throat after I had 1/2 my vovcal chords removed due to a tumor. Cancer free but the tube remained. That is until now. Due to the weight loss surgery that Dr. Walton and his team performed and my drastic weight loss, I was able to have surgery so they could open my airway back to normal and I could breath WITHOUT the tube!!!!! I feel so fre. Between the weight loss and this, sure wish I could turn cartwheels!! Anyone that reads this are amoung the first to hear the news!!!

Thanks so much. If what I have been through can help anyone else then my life will have a deeper meaning.

If the mistakes I have made in my life in the past or what I have been through in the last decade with my throat can help anyone else then what I have been through has not been a loss.

For 7 years I slept with a noisy machine hooked to my tube in my throat at night. Now I am having to get used to sleeping without that darn noise!! But ya know, I think I can definetely handle it!!

Maybe a small fan by your bed would help you transition. It's a joyful "problem." :)
