My biggest WOW yet!!!
I just got back from 5 days of Camp Classen (outdoor school) with my daughter. First let me say that I was the scaredy cat kid who would not even climb on the monkey bars at school. But, this week I not only conquered those fears but I did more physical exercise than I have done my whole life and I have more sore muscles than I knew I had! The highlight of the week -- I climbed a mountain!! Climbing those rocks was TOUGH!!When I looked up and was told I had to climb that thing my nerves started to kick in but there was no way I was going to show that to the kids. A fourth of the way up I knew there was no way I could have physically done it a year ago. The principal was behind me and knew about my surgery and cheered me on the whole way. Afterwards he was so proud of what I had accomplished that other teachers and camp staff came to congratulate me. Later that night, after 9 exhausted girls fell asleep the minute we said lights out, I cried silently to myself.
Now ---- I need a massage!

I am so proud of you Nancy!!! I know that feeling. Next Saturday I will be riding a half century ride in Tulsa (50 miles). I know I will have that same feeling and crying those same tears. It is so amazing all the things are bodies can do when we treat it right!
