Well, I went in for my 2 week post op diet class yesterday. Tomorrow, I get to start eating again!!! YAY! I think! I am a little scared, but I am sure I will be okay. I am not afraid of eating the wrong thing, I am more afraid of eating too much. I still can't imagine feeling full after a bite or two. That just doesn't sound feasible. I don't want to hurt myself or anything and I think the hardest part is going to be eating slow enough... I realize it will be trial and error, but man oh man, anyone who said this was the EASY way is an IDIOT!!!

Anyways, I am down 16lbs since surgery as of yesterday. Total of 63lbs lost to date! I can't wait for the weight to really start falling off... Yes, I was hoping for more gone, but my hubby said I always want more! LOL! I guess I still have to have some patience!!!

Lots of love to you all,
Angie

just remember tiny bites and chew chew chew and eat slow! enjoy the food while its in your mouth :) i try to chew like atleast 25 times or so to make sure its all good so i dont swallow too much.

also whats helped me is putting down my utensils in between bites, whle chewing so you dont go back to old habits of taking alot of bites and forgetting to slow down. what also helped at the beginning was using baby spoons (they were like 2 bucks for the plastic ones) it helped with proportions while eating.
i dont know if you ever drink fast but also baby sippy cups helped me adjust too, so i wasnt taking to big of sips and getting pain in my poor pouch..

great job on your 63 pounds!!! keep it up angie!!!

Those are such great suggestions Am!! I'm totally going to start doing the putting down my spoon/fork between bites to help me make sure I have chewed my food properly!!

Thank you soo much for sharing those tips!! You are so kind!
