Surgiversary
Can't believe I had my surgery a year ago. Gez, I thought I would never get the darn thing scheduled, and now, a year has slipped by. Been a great year. Total of a little over 170 lbs since I started this and am still amazed every day on the difference I feel. To any one reading this that is still debating, I want to say having the surgery was the absolute best decision. I am so grateful to everyone here for all the advice, support, and wisdom. Am going to have to decide what I am going to do on my second birthday. Y'all are the best, and you know I love all of you. Michael
Oh, and OT, Dessie and I have decided not to move to OKC. We found out a few weeks ago that we have been qualified for a house loan, which is a miracle since we just went though a short sale. It is a Guaranteed Rural Development loan, and is only good for smaller towns. I.E., Roland. In OKC it is only good around Shawnee up to Choctaw Road, or out by Piedmont. I would not be happy driving that far in to go to work everyday. I went through so much turmoil with this decision, as my family really wanted us to move there. Dessie was so great, and said she would move if that is what I really wanted. I just wasn't sure. Did a lot of praying, and really felt an unsettling feeling when I started considering moving. Dessie finally told me, after I said I thought I wanted to stay, that if we moved to OKC and something happened to me, she would move back to this area. We have found a house here to buy, and are suppose to close on it in a week or so. We are so excited, and even though I still haven't found a job yet, I am so at peace with our decision. What could be better than that? Have found out Kate is having a girl, and she has named her Aryana Maree. Except she is thinking about some wierd spelling like R'Rhiana, or something like that. Anyway, the baby is healthy and Kate is feeling her move alot.

Congrats on your one year anniversery!
I hope you post pics of your lovely new home too! I know how hard a choice like that is to make, especially when you have family that wishes you were closer. I'm so glad for you that your prayers were answered and lead you to make the best choice for you and your life!

I'm so excited for your Michael. I know that the past year has been exciting for you and amazing as well. I'm so glad you guys are going to close on a home and made your decision to stay in the area. We raised all of our children in small rural towns and I personally think they are wonderful places. You mainly have to have peace with your decision and it sounds like you have indeed. God will also provide you with that perfect job as well! You are going to have so much fun with a little grandaughter too. I love my title of Nana and my husband is Papa! So much more fun than it was being Mama and Daddy!!!

WOW, What a difference a year can make. I am so glad you feel so much better with yourself. That is all that matters, well and the health benefits. I really wanted ya'll to move back but I am glad that the decision you made was beause it was what you wanted. Not someone else. If ya'll are happy where you are than your family is happy. Congrats on the house. At least something good came from coming to the city and looking for house's. A perfect job will come along. You have nothing but wonderful things coming your way.Your an inspiration, now can ya do something that will help me get past this six months of waiting for my band. I want it NOW!!!!!!!!!!
I know you want it now, and I know it seems like the 6 months is just creeping along, but it will pass faster than you think. Remember, I had the same time frame, waiting from March until September. You and Kelley are such awesome people. I admire and love both of you more than you know. It WILL happen, and both of you are going to do great.
Thanks all again for the encouragement. I couldn't have done anything without y'all. Michael
