What's happenin' hot stuff? Lemme weigh in on you....
Hey you wonderful skinny people! (and a couple of people in transition), yes, yes....I still breathe and am still in the middle of fighting hurricanes off in the Caribbean.....but I have nothing to gripe about other than i still miss Taco Bueno and Arbys....but hey the sacrifice is well worth the view.
I have kept myself very busy as of recent days and figured I wanted to give some of my wonderful Okies the news about how life is working and stuff....
I'm still skinny.... I'm non compliant and have been for a long time now. My foods range from heavy carbs to zero carbs and i remain in ketosis whether I want to or not. I've converted a ton of people to low carb living and 4 people have lost a total of 242 pounds in my office....but I also run 5 miles a day and I make them run with me.....so it helps...
I still have not been big on drinking or even taking a sip of pop....but I do shots of whatever is served and i find that moderation is the key....Rum still stands as the drink of the day here.
I do miss a lot of the folks who walked me through the whole WLS system. I want you to know you have forever impacted my life and have made an impression....Everytime I look at my flat tummy, with the 6 pack, I know that I couldn't have done this without some positive people back in my old home state. I have maintained a solid weight now for over a year with no weight gain in the least no matter how I've strayed.....plus hey.... all of you know that I stick to a strict diet and stuff.....HA! well hey it was good for a laugh!
I do cook, but not as much since I work longer hours....I'm still passionate about it, but it seems like it requires more time than I have...
Life is kind....and i have been so lucky to have had the life I do.....not a day goes by where I regret the steps I took for WLS....I used to be the fella that wanted to have the kick a$$ body on the beach, and now that I've worked in conjunction with the diet...I'm there... wow...there's a thought... I'm sure there are more than a few girls out there who had some secret hate for that little floozy in her little 2 piece bikini....OMG....that floozy could be you.... we have beaches...we're just missing you....
Thomas...
Unlike you I lack the discipline for the no carb thing. I resort to tracking calories which I know what dr. b thinks about that but hey I have to do what works for me. I am losing slow but still losing.
How's the love life? Seems like last time you posted there was a romantic interest in your life....

Heya wonderful lady! Wow you look TERRIFIC! And majorly active and stuff.... i can still remember that you only had a list of things you wanted and now they are all coming true! As for me, I'm always lucky in finding romantic interests.....so I'm pretty well stocked for the upcoming season...haha!
It looks like there's a ton of people who took a vacation from the forums like I did....wow lotsa new people and stuff! Well I'm off to the grocery store to gather fun stuff for beachtime with friends tomorrow....keep in touch! I miss you peeps!

Me? I still fit in my goal jeans, I'm spending a lot of time on my bike and at the stable with my horse. I seem to get more arm workouts working around horses-and I hate working out my arms but I love horses so it balances out.
I've actually cooked a time or two. Right now I'm perfecting my meat smoking techniques-I've pulled off a great rack of pork ribs and a really nice moist turkey breast. I think my mom and dad enjoy my new hobby-finally found something we can all agree on.
My next research project is some prototype tamales for the after T-giving family feed. I love turkey and I love ham, but not more than once or twice a week-so for T-giving I try to come up with the anti or ante (depending on if it's before or after) turkey meal. I'll probably do beef, pork, chicken and vegetarian just to make sure I catch something for everybody. Heck, I might even roll up some hot dog weenies in some to keep the kids happy.
I'm going to Cape Cod in October and I'd appreciate the hurricanes staying OFF the dang cape.
Hugs your friend
Sarah
