Hey, Girl.
I was like that a few weeks ago. I have drastically cut the carbs (20 grams or less, total), got through the first 3 days of cravings, and now it's not hard at all. I don't know if that's what's going on with you, but if you're having trouble with not-so-good carbs creeping back in, that might be true for you.
We know that the ghrelin hormone does come back, eventually. Perhaps that's what's happening for you. Even if that's the case, all is not lost. You know what to do, and the good habits that you've developed will serve you well.  Increase your protein intake, and if you feel extra hungry, make what you eat good protein.
Hang in there.
Blessings,
Mary

*BIG HUGS*
Sorry to hear the munchies are creeping back in. Maybe try eating more often of healthier things to make you feel fuller? Or perhaps do an activity to take your mind off the hunger. Like posting here!! hehe

Best of luck sweety! I appreciate you posting this. I'm going to have the sleeve surgery and nice to have as much info as can be had.

I eat every 2-3 hours as a rule. I just eat things that are low in calories, high in protein and fiber. I just feel much better eating small meals/snacks like that instead of three big meals a day.

Also, make sure you are getting in all of your fluids.  I'm a terrible one to tell you this because I am not very compliant with that, but you may just be thirsty instead of hungry.  Also, if you must get a snack in, make sure it is protein and not a carb.  I remember going through spurts where I was more hungry than other times.  Usually I can link it back to a lack of fluids.

Good luck and hang in there.

Even though it's not cool yet, the days are starting to get shorter and the light is fading-not so bright.  That usually kicks my appetite into high gear-it hasn't happened yet, but I'm bracing myself for it.

That said, I am more comfortable eating a small amount more often than a big amount three times a day.  Some doctors call that "grazing behavior" some are ok with it.  Bottom line, if you are not eating too many calories over the entire course of the day, I'm not really sure it matters.

Also, for me, if I eat what I'm supposed to, I seem to need to refill my fuel a little more often-because I can't hold as much.  Again, I look over my journal for the day an decide who I did overall.  I use the daily plate thingy and I check the graph to make sure it looks good-I like to make a peace sign if I can...but at least like to keep the fat down low.

I wish they could figure out a way to distinguish between good carbs and bad carbs, but a glance at WHAT you ate can give you that too.  If I've eaten a sweet potato or some corn, my carbs are going to be high and that's ok....if it was chocolate chip cookie carbs-I might want to back off a little the next day.
