Support groups in Norman?

Hi all

I am wanting to go to support groups, but going all the way up to Integris to do it makes me a little less likely to go. So, I wondered if anyone knew of any support groups in the Norman or even Moore area? Also, I had wondered about a clothing exchange in the area. If anyone has any info, I would be forever graciously grateful.

OWLO has a support group in Norman one saturday a month at Norman Regional in the education building at 11 am. The next meeting is Aug. 15th.  And it is the weekend of our clothing exchange as well. They also have support group meetings every other Tuesday and Thursdays at the small hospital in Moore just off Telephone Road and 4th street.  www.owlo.com is the website and they have a complete listing under support groups.

Yes the support groups are open to anyone even those trying to lose weight without surgery. Pre-op post op and the one on saturday is ran by Pattye!  Also i will pm you with my contact info I moved not far from you a couple months ago now and if you just ever need an ear I am more than willing to talk. I am just north of the off county line rd.

Yes this Saturday is the monthly meeting and our quarterly clothing exchange. It is held at the Norman Regional hospitals Education Center at 11:00am followed by the clothing exchange at noon.  Would love to see you there.

im going to try my bestest! do you girls look for all differant sizes?  i have so much stuff! ! 

Yes we look for all different sizes and what is not claimed by someone is donated to a local charity thrift store, so it does go to someone who will use it as well.  All that they ask is that they be clean folded and pretty much season appropriate and it is stained up and ripped up.  And the saturday group is our one ran by post ops especially for post ops. And we usually do a round table type discussion of whatever topic that we feel needs discussing. Last month the main topic was the way relationships change as you lose the weight. Not just husband wife relationships but also even relationships in the family and with friends. And Pattye is known for making us protien cookies. Everyone should join us we have a great time.

Can you go to the meetings if you didn't have surgery with them?  I am going to have the DS in Texas but want a support group here.
