Its official surgery number 13....I need help

The place you can rent horses around here is Draper Lake Riding stables-and I'll be honest, it's not fancy, but it's also 20 dollars for a couple of hours vs. 50. Last time I was there they even rode out a bit with you to get the horses pushed out past their home pasture-back in the olden days (when I was a kid) if you couldn't get your horse out yourself you rode in the front yard. So, if you've ridden a little, it's a great deal-if you haven't go with someone who has and you'll still be all right.
One of my dreams is to start a small place to give lessons and such to people who aren't going to go have a career in the show ring. But horse businesses are expensive and a lot can go wrong with lessons, so the insurance keeps most people out of it.
Right now it's best to call ahead (like the night before) and book a time first thing in the morning. I don't even know if he sends his horses out in this heat (I wish he wouldn't).
I think he also gives lessons too, and they run about 40 ish an hour. The guy can ride, don't know what kind of teacher he is-he's just a good ol' Okie boy. (And I'm not knockin that-he's someone who probably has chased a real cow somewhere as opposed to just in the show ring).
My biggest gripe is they don't have a mounting block. Now, I'm not big like I used to be, but I would still rather climb stairs to my horse than have a stranger pick me up by one foot and feel how much I weigh. That's just my own personal weirdness.
You know I've had complications and setbacks since my own RNY. I am headed for surgery 10 myself since my WLS. If you need someone to talk to, anytime, just let me know. I'm always here.
