5 years ago today!
(So I was signing and dating paperwork at the dentist office this morning and it dawned on me what day it was... LoL)
Yep, it's been 5 years! On August 3rd, 2004, my life changed forever and definitely for the better. My journey hasn't been without it's complications, but I would do it again in a HEARTBEAT. I have lost over 170 lbs, along with numerous medications and co-morbidities that I will never have to face again! The most special part of the whole journey, however, has been the 2 beautiful kids that I have been blessed with because of my weight loss. Krysten and Tyson are my world :) (Ok, my wonderful hubby is, too... He should be back from his deployment in a month). I am facing another operation in September~ A hysterectomy. Hopefully this will stop the problems I'm having keeping my iron level up.
I've gone from a 24/26W to a size 4/6 and I have been maintaining for over 4 years now. It's been a wild ride, but I would tell anyone considering WLS that they should do their research and by all means, go for it! Thank you all for being part of my journey... Without the support, I don't know that I could have been a success. From the bottom of my heart, you all mean a lot to me! *hugs*
