And they are pretty good.  Good size pita, 60 calories 8 total carb, 4 net.  This will hold up to a WLS sanwich, don't know about a big ol' dagwood, and it makes a pita pizza that's pretty tasty too.

I'm in love.  Bread is tough for me, and if I can't get something that will work with a sanwich, I'd rather just not bother.  This held up well, chewed up well-and is low cal and low carb to boot.

(I just wrapped the stuff with the pita, I didn't try stuffing it-it's pretty thin and I don't think it would work well).

that sounds AWESOME! I'm going to try it too. I miss bread probably most of all--and it doesn't help that the girls in another part of my office make cinnamon toast/bagels/muffins all the time and all I can think of is buttery sweet soggy bread!!!!!! I could strangle them! LOL. But I haven't weakened, I'm pretty proud of that. I'm happy just to smell if I don't have to worry about taking the toast hostage......

My missing bread has changed over time.  If it's something like the soggy toast that I know won't work well with my band, I don't even really want it.  Pitas are one of those things that LOOK like they might work, but often don't-so I was glad to find something that does work, fills you up and has a low calorie carb impact.

I have tried these pitas, I like to use half of one and make chicken taco's or even put scrambled eggs, sausage and cheese in them, they are great.  Lisa

I put some shrimp with a little ****tail sauce inside a Joseph's pita and it held up OK.
