I don't totally agree with the WeightWise nutritionists on the aspect of cheating.  I think the more you deny, the more likely you are to make not only bad choices when you do cheat but not to get back on your proper diet after being a little bad.  I think that scheduling times to give yourself a little freedom gives you something to look forward to and helps decrease the times in between when the cravings are so bad.

Part of human nature is to covet what we are denied.  If we deny all the foods that we love we crave all the worse!

It's still me in the avatar.  I ain't skinny yet but I am working on it!

I TOTALLY agree with you Jay.  There comes a point where we have to get back in the real world.  I don't know if you can really say "cheating" but living and we all hope to have learned to enjoy a little of those bad things in moderation.  Like, a cookie...not a package like before!!!!  Thanks for the awesome post!!!  You are looking great my friend.

I conjour to both of you. I know my plan is so much different and we are suppose to drink meal replacements and protein shakes. I got burned out quick. I do not deny myself I just opt for choices that I kow will fix my craving.
Maybe I am off here but whats the point of eatting per say a low fat chip that made with with NEW Oil which cause me to be sick. I would rather buy some wavys eat what is less than a serving an be content.
Snaking and eatting is based on whats healthy. I do protein first and If I want  a candy bar after I have reached my protein for the day I am gonna have it. Difference is now I know what that can lead to.
Maybe one day the nuts can get together and agree..untill then we will be the lab rats for them

okbuffy, if you're out far enough from your surgery date, Snickers and Payday both make protein bars now.  I think Milky Way does too.  The Snickers & Paydays each have about 15 grams of protein, and 13ish grams of sugar.  I tried the Payday one and it was pretty close to a regular Payday.  I was pleasantly surprised.  Granted, I could only eat about three bites, but it took care of my jonesing for sweet & salty.
