I am so close to my goal, but these last pounds are just holdin on and on...  Those of you that have hit your goal did you reward yourself with something special?  I know that losing the weight is reward it's self.    Lisa

I think it is important to celebrate each and every little accomplishment ,,,I set very small attainable goals and i reward myself ,,,just a small thing but I celebrate the small things too...you deserve it ,,,pat yourself on the back and go have a pedicure or get something new to wear ......

I was heavy into rewards throughout the whole process.  I sort of backed in to it-when I saw something I wanted, I would say, ok you can have it When and IF you  (fill in goal).  I tried to be honorable and make the goal something that fit the reward, or sometimes (for clothes) I made the reward fit the goal.  When you reach a new size you get XXX of new clothes.  It wasn't really realistic to do that for every size-I bought a lot at the goodwill.  I think the good part of that was that I never really tried to make it through a size with only one pair of pants that fit.

Be careful that you don't make everything in your life contingent on losing weight though-that can be troublesome.  Sometimes you just need to give yourself a treat!
