since March I have had one scare of having another surgery...
today the scare has come back.
I have a bulge in the abdomonial area again. and dr says it not a hernia but where the muscles are not knitting back together....so I had a ct scan done and was told yep the muscles were not right.
I go bck next thursday and will be told if surgery will be scheduled.
I sure hope he does something cause I look werid now....

Could you wear Spanx as kind of a brace to help hold it in place to give it longer to heal?  (I know that sounds really stupid, but I'm putting it out there on the off chance it might work).

Deb,
I dont thinkits stupid at all. I wore a abdominal brace for 12 weeks after my last surgery. And Dr. Keith said I didnt need it.  All I know is that you look at me and under my breasts is this bulge and then my tummy..looks werid. and there is some discomfort...

That vacuums (don't like the word "sucks"), Pattye. I'm sure sorry to hear that you're going through yet another bump in the road. Hang in there.
Prayers,
Mary

Yeah, buy 5 get 1 free (something like that). Good to see that you still have your sense of humor (it's not a bump, it's a bulge...oy vay). :)

Hi Pattie,
Sorry to hear about your bulging muscle.   I just wanted to let you know I also developed a bulge after I had gallbladder surgery in 2004.   They started out doing it Lap, then had to open me up.   At first, I thought I was just swollen, then I thought maybe they shifted my FAT when they were holding my abdominal wall open.. I never did ask my Dr about it, I thought  it would flatten out....NOT!!!!   When I had my VSG in Aug of 2008, Dr Walton said it may be a hernia and they could fix it when they did my surgery....It turned out to be a damaged muscle that has lost it's tone and now it bulges out. It is in my upper, center  abdominal area and reminds me of part of a rounded football.   Anyway, Dr Walton said when I lost my weight and went for Plastic surgery, they would fix the damaged muscles.....It doesn't cause me pain, it just looks funny, it sticks out farther than my belly now that I've lost weight......Still trying to reach my goal but have stalled BIGTIME.....   Wish you well
