Quick-Tell me it's going to be OK.....

So, I've been buying lineless bifocals even though I really don't need distance lenses, because keeping my glasses on my face is the best way for me not to lose them (sad but true). But the lineless bifocals are expensive and kind of make me dizzy at times.....
This year I made the decision to grow up, go with readers, and quit paying triple for something I don't need-to start wearing sunglasses and walk around without the "protection" of glasses. I'm cool with the naked face thing-but I have to have my glasses to read anything at all-and shoving them in my shirt or my pocket just means I'll break them that much sooner.
So, today, I bought one of those leash things......and I'm totally freaked out by it....does this mean I'm OLD?
Can really cool, hip people wear eye glass leashes? I honestly can't believe how much this stupid little string is bugging me.
I got a leash for my glasses too. I still lose them....Lose everything....I just now lose the leash attached to them...I went the eye doctor a year ago and she said my eyes are perfect...just old...Nice! She told me I could get a prescription for glasses that I can just go buy at Walmart....She did tell me that I didn't need as strong of glasses to work on the computer, and I could get whatever I needed to read....Deb, I think the age thing is harder to deal with than just needing glasses....I have to empty out my purse about once a week to find ink pens and glasses. Sometimes I will have over 10 pairs of glasses and up to 30 pens in my purse....I don't ever want to be without either and have no reason for the obsession....NOW that obsession is caused by being old!!
You are cool to all us Deb! We love you !

I take off and put on my readers so many times that I wear out the screw (only on one side--no clue why). Anyway, I've about decided to buy the all-plastic readers through Carol Wright. You can bend them, and, supposedly, they will never break. They're about $20, but I spend close to that each time I have to replace them.
We're not old, me and thee...we're just getting older day by day. Time marches on. At least we're doing what we can to be healthy and live longer. Just focus on your quality of life--which is really good. :)
Blessings,
Mary

No, not getting older, just better.
I have this cool magnetic jewerly looking thing that I wear on my shirt to hang my glasses on so I don't lose them. I bought it at my hospital gift shop, it was about 12 dollars. You want me to send you one?

WAIT!!! I just thought about this again. Do they make the leash with sparkly, glittery rhinestones? If so, then void the nerdy comment...
