I weighed in this morning after a ton of activity yesterday.  I weigh 298.5.  That brings me to 150 pounds lost and I finally made it to TWOTERVILLE!!!

I also went to buy shoes at Elite Feet in Edmond.  The proprietor is a pedorthist and knows a ton about your feet and what shoes you should be wearing.  If you need shoes, go there.  Anyway, he did not recognize me at first even though he fitted me with shoes in December.  People who haven't seen me in a while don't recognize me!  WOW!!

While buying shoes I went to Wal-Mart and I can actually wear clothes from Wal-Mart!  I got exercise shorts and a shirt and I actually look good in them.  I have never gotten anything but socks and boxers from Wal-Mart that fit and now clothing off the rack fits!

Finally, my bicycle came in on Friday.  I finished putting it together late last night and went for a short ride.  It was SOOOO good!  I didn't want to stop!!  Here I am riding around the neighborhood at 1:30 in the morning and loving every second of it.  I can't believe all the stuff I left behind because I was too fat to do them!

I CAN LIVE AGAIN!!!

Jay welcome to the biking world!!!  Debra and I are going biking next Sunday morning maybe you could meet us for a ride.  What's awesome about Yukon is we are so close to Lake Overholser.  I got up this morning while DH and DS were still sleeping and rode from my house around the lake and back, 15 miles in just over an hour.  It was awesome and didn't really feel like exercise!!  There is a Spin your Wheels ride in Bethany for the Children's Center on August 8th.  They have a beginner 12 mile ride which is nothing to sneeze at.  It costs $25 and goes to a great cause.

I feel everything you are saying!  I can live again too and for the first time feel normal!  I think that is why I love biking because it feels so free and normal!!

Jay,

Congratulations on the great progress!  Isn't it amazing how many things we've left behind that can add so much joy to our lives?

As a secondary note - regarding not being recognized....   I'm thinking of shaving my beard and then I'll be totally incognito to basically everyone who knows me.   I've had it for about 20 years and it's only been completely off for about one week during that time.   If I get rid of it now, I could easily hide out from pretty much anyone except the folks who know me from Support Group and my wife.

Have a great day and enjoy all the new things coming your way!

John
