Spa AAAHHHHHHHHH

I can't get away for vacation right now, but I really needed to do something-so I booked a package at a Spa-and it was heaven.....facial, body wrap, light snack and massage. I made a conscious decision to check all worries at the door, and when I came out a few hours later, I could really feel what a difference it made in my mind, body and spirit.
I know there are a lot of people on this list who take care of other people-and I just wanted to remind you all to remember to do something for yourself every now and then. It would be a great reward for reaching a short or long term goal-no calories, but still has to do with the body.

I went to Elan Spa on May Avenue. It's not very big, but I kind of like that. Bigger spas mean more tired and jaded people trying to unwind.
Last year I went to the Cooper Clinic in Dallas-they have a hotel on the property that has fairly decent rates. The problem is-it's kind of a mind twister. You are surrounded by all this health (and lots of wealth too-but not snotty at all) and three blocks away is one of the best cakes and best deli's in the entire free world. I had just had a fill, so I skipped the cake but I did eat some borscht at the deli, and I used ALL the sour cream.....and then I went shopping.
I figured out that I could go more often for less money if I stick close to home, avoid the kennel fees AND the cake. Honestly who puts a SPA right next to the best bakery on earth-that's just mean.
