How do you get rid of stomach fat?
Anyone getting closer to goal weight and still have a stomach? I am trying to figure out what to do with it. My doctor didn't want me to do anything more than walk so how can I get rid of the excess around my middle. I am sure that I have lost enought weight that I should be smaller than a 16 in the waist but I haven't. Any idea's welcomed.
Have you thought of trying yoga or pilates? From what I've heard they are two of the best exercises for trimming up your stomach. Although I'm only a 1.5 weeks out I've started a yoga class and I can tell my stomach is getting worked, just by the stretching and balance stuff. Its a really good workout and not too hard at all on your joints.
Hate to tell ya this..on women belly fat is the hardest to get rid of....Just keep walking..increase your stride..are you allowed to swim? Cause that helps too.
Even surgery does not remove it all unless u have lipo....
I had a tummy tuck last year and still have some fat plus scar tissue build up from all my surgeries...but the swimming helps alot
being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it
I looked like a baked potato on two sticks before surgery and I may be down to a small potato now....I had a lot of fat on my liver and had a lot of fat on the inside of my gut...not between the skin and muscle. It was all in my organs. I think that we lose so quick in other area's that we get so excited about it that we forget that some of this is going to take time....It is discouraging because, like you, I can't wear smaller clothes, that I know I could wear...I have no legs or a but anymore! It's all gut! I am probably a 8 or so in my legs and but but have to have larger sizes because of the gut. I am just giving it time and trying to not get to down about it. I wish I knew more about this process....there are no easy answers but I know one thing.....I am feeling so much better! That is enough to keep me encouraged!

I know. It goes against all the things I know to be true about toning as you lose. My theory is that the doctor wants you to lose fast and muscle weighs more than fat and if you are toning and building muscle, you won't see the change in numbers even though you will in inches. I wish they went by that too.
