I have a brand new still sealed bottle of chewable Iron + C. they are from celebrate vitamins. If someone would like to have them, all I ask is that you pay shipping, which shouldn't be too much. My doctor told me I didn't need to take an Iron supplement.

Gee, Emily. Are you sure? Is he sure? On what does he base that? I just know that if a bypass patient gets low in iron, it's awfully hard to build back up. I think I'd ask on the Main Board, to get the opinion of others. Perhaps even PM Andrea, because she seems very knowledgeable about vitamins and supplements. I just want you to be safe and continue to feel great.
Blessings,
Mary

I see where he is coming from. The older we get, the less iron we need. I honestly think I was getting to much by taking the suppliment and that I get ton's from the foods I eat.  I was taking a suppliment AND taking the 1 a day that had 18g. in it too....I quit taking the one a day with iron and got one with out and dropped the iron suppliment. Many doctors feel that over 50, many people do not need the suppliment at all. After reading the problems that can occur, getting to much, I think I will take my chances by just eating foods that have plenty.
