terrible accident

Hi, Everyone.
My daughter and I were able to go swimming in a friend's pool today, which was wonderful, as I haven't been able to go for so long. As we were there, I was saying to her that I guessed it was hearing of the deaths of 3 Hollywood celebrities this week, but I just had such a strong feeling of "death" today, and it was rather disconcerting.
Then tonight, on the 10:00 news, I see and hear about a horrible chain reaction accident on the highway near Miami, Oklahoma. It just was so awful to see, and I cannot imagine being a part of the accident or seeing it happen.
The newscaster said 9 people died, and a dozen were injured. How in the world that semi driver couldn't tell that traffic had stopped for another accident, I'll never know. It's just so sad.
Join me in praying for the families whose lives forever changed today.
Blessings,
Mary

So right. Such a tragedy. There's nothing those victims could have done to avoid that accident. It makes it worrisome to get on the road today to travel to a family reunion.

An accident like that reminds you to put things in proper perspective.

I am praying for those families, along with the families of the three celebrities who passed this week.

When I stop on the highway I start praying hard and watching my rear view mirror, hoping that the people behind me see that it's time to slow down.

My heart goes out to the families of the people killed and injured-what a terrible tragedy.

Once, when my daughter and I were driving home from Edmond, on that same interstate, there had been an accident, and traffic was tied up for an hour or more. It was stop and go so much, that I remember being concerned about someone thinking we were going, only to realize we weren't, and slam into the back of us. It was nerve wracking.
Of course, it didn't help that back in high school driver's ed, I refused to watch those horrible crash videos, was forced to watch one or I'd fail the class, watched the very last one, and it was on rear end collisions!

It has been a very sad week for Miami.  That stretch of I-44 is traveled by many of my friends & family everyday, this news causes me great concern.
Last weekend a 21 year old died when she was thrown from the truck she & her husband were traveling in after swerving to avoid a deer.  This young woman is my close friend's daughter-in-law, she would have celebrated her first wedding anniversary next month.
I am also praying for these families & continue to pray for traveling mercies for my family & friends every day.
