Xpost-I NEED my band

Now that I'm healed and feeling good and waiting for a fill- I realize how much I need my band, because I'm like a bottomless pit these days.

I'm doing the best I can, eating filler foods like cabbage (something I'd forgotten about-the past years have been more about space management than filling up space) and hoping I don't gain too much.

Every day is a struggle and one that I'd gotten used to not having.  A few vocal people in my life thought I should just have had the band removed since I was at goal-and I am SO thankful I didn't listen.  I NEED my band, and I am glad I still have it.

Hang in there!  I guess you can get a fill in 3 weeks?  Use what you have learned about protein first and just make the best decisions you can until you get some restriction.
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

Yep-I have an appointment for a fill, and knowing it's on the way does help.

I agree with you on that!  I really love my band, too!  I can't imagine where I would be without it and am so thankful to have it.

I am happy for you getting a fill soon.  Hang in there until then, think tiny tummy!!

It's gonna smell like it's August and you just found the last of the real Easter eggs you hid in the backyard!

(Yup, I loves me some bodily functions humor!)

I am sure Oliver (the parrot) will have a few comments about your uh, cabbage and onion issues!  Keep us posted!  I love Oliver stories.

Oliver runs in cycles-right now he's not doing much body noises (thank goodness) and I hope that lasts till after the family comes for the 4th of July.  Of course, my family makes the same noises, they may just lead him astray.

Right now he's into bossing the dogs-he goes out the sunroom every morning and tells them what to do and to BE QUIET!  Then he has his mist bath and plays till about noon before coming in an taking a nice long nap.  Around 4-5, he gets up, has a snack, and then goes outside again for the evening, where he bosses the dog again.

Today he's getting a nice dried new Mexican pepper for his snack.  I was giving him a bowl of water to bath in since it is so hot, but he dumps it on the dogs and laughs, so I don't do that any more.

Oliver is my most high maintenance animal.
