OMG I am freaking out
over the amount of hair I am losing. It is awful. It has been falling out for about a month now, but it has gotten really bad. So bad that I don't even want to comb it. I am going to up my protein and see if that helps. I know this is all normal, but I really feel I will be bald if this doesn't stop or slow down. I asked my husband how he would feel with a bald wife. He didn't really answer me. He thought I was being silly. I am not though. i am really scared.

dont you love when they dont answer you? drives me bonkers! atleast they can say "honey id love you bald or not!!"
my bf does the same thing if he thinks im being silly or an ass , he just sits there w. no response!
i think youll be fine. your doing your protein and everything you need to be doing. i heard you lose it no matter what the first few months. and it eventually comes back.
*hugs* i hope you feel better!! <3 am

I'm not sure how much hair you are loosing. I know that I was loosing so much that I would have to run my hands under water to get it off because it was clinging so bad, it would look like I had pulled out a large clump of hair or cleaned out my hair brush. I have went to washing my hair every other day (didn't want to make MORE fall out). Upping your protein is good but remember you won't see immediate results and this is a result of the surgery and from what I understand not getting enough protein right after surgery. If it makes you feel any better I've never seen a bald woman who is post-op. Mine fell out for about 2 months before it started slowing down. I can live with the rate that it's coming out right now and I figure in another month to six weeks I'll probably be back to normal.

EM, I had to laugh at your post because I am going through the same thing....I try not to bru**** anymore than I have to and I too am trying everything....It is a scary process of this journey and I hate this part, I asked myslef the other day....Would you rather be 220 lbs again or just have super thin hair??? You know my answer....Still, it doesn't make it any easier...I honestly doubt that shampoo's or anything else but good vitamins, biotin, and upping the protein will help a little..I almost asked the other day for someone to PLEASE tell me when it will start growing back in...so I could have hope! I am so glad you posted this and Winnie posted a similar one...I am in the best of "thin hair"company!!
Hang in there because our hair sure isn't!!

My sweet "berribuddy"...this is perfectly normal for your stage of WLS! If you start worring about it to much, you might try taking 1000mg of Biotin 4 to five times a day. It seems to be helping me alot. I find when I stop or slow down on the dosaage, my hair starts falling out again...positive note with the biotin...my skin has cleared and my nails are stong as nails!!
Just my 2 cents worth!
Blessings,
Carol
