Yesterday afternoon, I had a surprise visitor, my Half sister, who is also a half daughter, guess I'd better explain that one. I raised her from the time she was 10, after our mom passed away. Anyhow, I got an email from her about 1:30 yesterday afternoon saying that they were here in town and coming by to see me after spending some time with my daughter. I had not seen her and her family in about 1 year. they came out last summer and took Bonnie's Sr. pictures. They live in AZ. so they only come out 1x a year.  I got busy moving clothes out of the living room that I was going through, that Mrs. P had given me and was pulling stuff out of my closet and putting in the give away pile. So had a big mess and nowhere for anyone to sit.
But anyhow, I decided that since I have lost this weight, and she hadn't seen me in a while, I was going to walk outside to meet them instead of using my wheelchair.  My sister got out of their truck and was WOW Look at you!!! Her husband was even surprised, and they said that was very impresive with me doing that.   Made me feel really good. My sister was impressed with the fact that I am able to walk around the block out here. and have a whole different outlook on things now.  My daughter said nothing, but that not uncommon for her.  We did have a good visit. They were here for a couple of hours and then went back to Tulsa and will head back to AZ on Thursday. So won't see them again for another year.

That's so nice, Susan. Just think of the change they'll see in another year! They probably won't even recognize you. Keep hope, with your daughter. :)
Blessings,
Mary

That is so neat-and just think what a difference another year will make.  I enjoy seeing people I haven't seen in awhile-they REALLY can see the change, and it helps me to see it too.

That's AWESOME Susan!  That's what it's all about...gaining our health back!!!  You'll be walking all over the place very soon and won't need that wheelchair at all.  Could it be that your daughter is a little jealous that you are finally taking charge of your life and doing something for yourself for a change?  Most of the time all the focus is on our children and when it changes they don't like it!!!  Way to go girlfriend!!

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!
