Coffee Question
I am one of the lucky ones that caffeine does nothing for me. When I have a choice I will choose caffeine free. I am not a good drinker anyway and always struggle to get my water in so at least drinking caffeine free I can count it! I do drink 1 or sometimes 2 cups of caffeinated coffee per day since my husband refuses to drink decaf. He swears he can taste the difference but it tastes no different to me.
Well, I personally only drank caffeine free the time WeightWise required me to when I was on liquids. I've lost 180 pounds and drink the leaded coffee all but a couple of months. I guess it's a personal choice. I do no carbonated drinks at all but drink LOTS of water with crystal lite or other mix-ins. I'm one who can actually drink a cup of coffee, go straight to bed and sleep like a baby. It has never bothered me that way. Tea, on the other hand will require me to get up and down during the night so I don't do much tea in the evening after dinner at all.
Winnie, you are doing FANTASTIC my friend!!! =)

My, my, girl. Just caught up on the postings and you've been through it. Hope dad is doing better. I stopped caffiene years ago because of fibrous tissue in my breasts. I think it's just one of those things you do if you put your mind to it. If I have caffiene now I go through the roof !!! Try Cains decaf. I like it the best. Good luck with that !
Hey everyone! I was a five shot Grande from Starbucks daily type of girl. I just had a lap surgery done to remove some adhesions and was told by my surgeon and PA that coffee, actually any caffiene, is bad for RNY'ers to have. Apparently it can relax your pouch and possibly cause an ulcer. They said it also dehydrates you and can cause you to eat more. Hope that helps. I'm currently trying to kick that daily habit myself!!!
