Go to the health food store and buy yourself some Pacific soups-they come in little cartons and their cream of isnt really cream but pureed vegetables. So, they have fiber and are easy to digest. Then spice the holy crud out of them.
My recent favorite-sweet potato soup to which I add a hefty load of paprika and garlic. (I love sweet savory flavors). A shot of lime would be pretty nice too.
V-8 or someone makes those carton soups as well and you can get them in the grocery store. The squash soup is just a bland base that you can spice up to suit you. Cilantro and basil work well in it (but I could put cilantro and basil on a cow turd and be happy).
Sorry if that's too crude.
If you are with Dr. G sometimes he does that. He left me on liquids for a month on purpose. I'm not a good listener and I started on mushies as my papers said to though. I wish looking back I had stuck it out a little longer on liquids. I might have increased my weight loss. But I cant change it now. If its only because he is on vacation then call his Nutritionist. She may be able to advise you.
I know it feels like the liquids will go on forever but I promise time will go by so fast! I'm already almost 6 months out and I can't believe how quickly the time went!
Oh, Congrats on your surgery! I hope you have a wonderful journey!

Thanks guys for the advice. Yes, I am with Dr. Gornichec so I may just call Tiffany.
I was talking to my mom (i think I've mentioned before that she's a nurse & has also had RNY) and shd brought up a good point though, that essentially everything happens for a reason. Her point to this was that I may just want to stick it out...We'll see

Here is some ideas for broth besides Deb's....I like her's better!
Ideas for the liquid broth stage:
Remember there are many types of broth's and bullions. I went to the asian market and found all kinds besides just chicken and beef. Remember you need a real good strainer for these ideas After simmering, let the mixture sit, to fuse the flavors and vitamins. I kept a container to put the left over veggies in to use when I make a soup for the mushie stage....I am not wasting anything! lol Its in my freezer.
You can also add unflavored Whey protein to any soup to give it a creamier texture.
Beef Broth
Chopped onions (to make an onion soup)
Green peppers and chopped onions
Green onions for a different onion taste
Carrots/ celery/ onions
A shot of soy sauce and a small amount of wasabi paste
A shot of Whorchestershire
Chopped cabbage/onions,celery/carrots No tomatoes without asking your doctor...We can't at WW.
Chicken Broth
Add some poultry seasoning, chopped celery and carrots
Shrimp broth/ It's not fishy tasting like you would think...It has a bisque type flavor Old Bay Use any fresh veggies you like or enjoy to flavor the broth for the vitamins but this has to be strained very well to be free of particles.
