technically finished!!

paulette .. sounds like you are ready for the surgery. why does  it  take so long to get started? how many semminars do you have to go thru?

I am really ready for the surgery. Just wish they would submit to insurance! Basically it wouldn't have taken this long had my insurance not have changed in December. When I started I had Blue Shield of CA because the company I work for is out of CA, but since my employer changed insurance, I had to undergo the 3-month supervised diet, which set things back. I went to 2 seminars for 2 different doctors when I started before deciding which one I wanted.

As for the speed of things, if you can self-pay it seems to go a lot quicker, but using insurance usually takes a while longer.

good mornin paulette...i made the call to dr. keith's office yesterday, they said i need a referral from my primary care physician. and then i talked to medicaid and they said i have to see my primary and it has to medically necessary of course before they will pay. i have talked to my dr. about the surgery in general in march and he let me know  what the surgery might do in my mindset and that i was once again going to have to give up another vice.  he said that food was my friend and thats the way it has been my whole life. he will only consider it, with his in put thru the whole process. thats great with me. i have completed 56 hours of therapy already, so that should be a head start. i down loaded the packet and i would like to know if their are things that i need to tell and not to tell. like depression and stuff like that. would you help with the paperwork, since you have been there and done that. it will certainly be interesting.
