George and I both started school on Tuesday. We are going to be medical coders when we are done. Where we are going is very fast paced and has lots of homework. I am not going to be able to be online much, but do plan on weighing in every week. I hope to catch some spare time over the weekends to catch up a bit. Hope every one is doing well and know I am with you in spirit. Also, congrats to all the losers this week. We did awesome.

Congratulations on going to school too Emily. That will be a great job when you are done.
Being so busy will help keep your mind off your weight too. You have to have some breaks, so check in with us. We will miss you!

How exciting. I started school last fall and it was a lot of fun. I hope to someday finish my degree!

Congrats on going back to school!  Good for you!
I started back a few years ago going to TCC.  I was going to be a medical transcriptionist.  They have a program there and I started taking the classes because I wanted to be able to work from home.  The lady over the classes told me I couldn't start out working at home.  She said it would take a while before I was qualified to do that.  When I found out I wouldn't be working for myself I just decided it wouldn't be worth it.  Right about now I'm wishing I would have continued with my education.  Who knows, maybe I would be in a job I love!!!!
Good luck!

Hi Kim,

I had to chime in when I read your post. The lady over your classes was dead wrong. I graduated in 2005 from Everett Community College transcription program and have been working from home as a transcriptionist since a month before I graduated. In all honesty, the program you take can have a very strong impact on being able to start off working from home straight out of school. It's great working from home, but it has its drawbacks as well.

Anyway, I hope you are doing well

Take care,
Paulette

Hi!  Thanks for Chiming in!  I would like to get some more info on your transcription class.  I will PM you!  I have worked from home for 10 years doing daycare.  I would LOVE to be able to do something else from home.  My nerves are about shot from toddlers!  LOL!
Hugs
