I won't be around much
George and I both started school on Tuesday. We are going to be medical coders when we are done. Where we are going is very fast paced and has lots of homework. I am not going to be able to be online much, but do plan on weighing in every week. I hope to catch some spare time over the weekends to catch up a bit. Hope every one is doing well and know I am with you in spirit. Also, congrats to all the losers this week. We did awesome.

Congrats on going back to school! Good for you!
I started back a few years ago going to TCC. I was going to be a medical transcriptionist. They have a program there and I started taking the classes because I wanted to be able to work from home. The lady over the classes told me I couldn't start out working at home. She said it would take a while before I was qualified to do that. When I found out I wouldn't be working for myself I just decided it wouldn't be worth it. Right about now I'm wishing I would have continued with my education. Who knows, maybe I would be in a job I love!!!!
Good luck!

Hi Kim,
I had to chime in when I read your post. The lady over your classes was dead wrong. I graduated in 2005 from Everett Community College transcription program and have been working from home as a transcriptionist since a month before I graduated. In all honesty, the program you take can have a very strong impact on being able to start off working from home straight out of school. It's great working from home, but it has its drawbacks as well.
Anyway, I hope you are doing well
Take care,
Paulette
