Welcome to your new career!!

I had the same issues.  I even became dehydrated because of it and had to go in for IV fluids.  Ask Ruth to repost the dehydration symptoms.  All just post-WLS patients need to really memorize that one.

As to how much...I did exactly the same thing.  64oz is HARD!!  It gets better though.  Concentrate on it and try your best to get there every day.  I am now in the 80-90oz a day range and getting better.  It just takes time but know that the fluids are the most important thing you can be doing.

Sip sip sip, walk walk walk!!

I found that warm chicken or beef broth were easier to get down. Also sf popcycles were good. I have always gotten my 64oz and I will tell you it has been hard and still is. I have to literally sit and do nothing but drink at times. I also love when I have finished drinking for the day. I hope the broth or popcicles work. Someone told me that the stomach is swollen and irritated initially. I had so much burping: sip, burp, sip, burp, etc. LOL. That has pretty much resolved. Good luck and it gets better.
