A warm fuzzy moment
As all of you know I work prn in a local hopital and just had my 6 week appt last week. I got a call from my boss and was offered a full time position on the floor I normally work on. I would be guareented 40 hours a week and a full benefits pakeage. (I have been trying to go full time for a year) I have been off work without pay for 8 weeks. Yesterday I had to take my work release in and sign the papers to go from prn to full time. I have not seen my co-workers from day shift since before I had wls. I walked in and the unit clerk asked if see could help me. I was like pat it's me Christina I need to give my work release to my boss and she was like wow. Everone was just floored at how much I have changed in 8 weeks. They couldn't believe the diffrence in me. I am only 3 lbs from replaceing that 3 with a 2. All my co-workers said I look great and that I was healthyer looking and just full of smiles. It is so amazing to watch the little changes in me everyday. My dr said that once I am back to work I will lose inches alot faster because I am walking for 12 hours and doing alot of moveing and lifting and I will be back to my normal activities.
I am going to day to try and ride my horse that I haven't ridden in over 5 years. I hope I will be able to ride. My whole family rides horses and I really miss rideing mine.
