Since I'm now on the liquids only there's no way I'm going to cook. I'm a chef at heart, what you cook MUST be tasted as you go to know that it's right. Since I'm not cooking I told the girls that they need to help their dad. They've each been told to come up with something they want to make for dinner, look through the recipes and come up with a grocery list.

I submit to you the recipe created by my 11 year old daughter, exactly as she wrote it out.

Beth's malaria

spageti noodles (1/2)
feta cheese (handful)
bell peppers (2)
mushrooms (pack)
galic head
chicken
1 cup milk
beef broth (1 1/2 cups)
rosmary (cup)

I think a full cup of rosemary might be a tad overwhelming in malaria. LMBO

And now that today is over....8 days until surgery!!!

That is TOO FUNNY! I just love kids! And good for you, for recognizing your current "limitations" and for making the decision to stay out of the kitchen. I did that, too. It didn't hurt my family a bit. :)
One week to a new you!
Blessings,
Mary

That is sooooo funny!! I am working on a family cook book and I am putting a section in it for kids to submit their recipes....along with recipes that are easy for kids to make. It is so funny how they percieve a recipe! I am adding them just as they say them too....It's a riot!
Tell Beth that I think I just might make that Malaria It sounds yummoooooooo

I know this part is so hard for you and will be praying for you. You will do fine!  One of my daughters is having gallbladder surgery this week and I cooked a weeks worth of meals over the weekend for her family.....actually it worked out ok, cause I just took of a portion for me of each meal...minus the pasta or forbidden food, so I too, have meals for the week. I sure would have loved to eat the pasta meal instead of just the sauce!!

I used to make my teenagers pick one night a week that they had to plan, buy and make a meal in order to help them later in life...The fun part was the other siblings had to do the dishes for the other's meals...pans and all! My son loved using nearly every pan. My oldest daughter did pay back on her turn...I had to step in on that and make a new rule concerning dishes! LOL The amazing thing is that now, they all love cooking!

Good with the Malaria!! Let us know how her's comes out!
