Evil carbs....please read

last week i had someone pot to me that they thought they had stretched their pouch because they could eat alot more. So i took it apon myself to test out her story. I went and bought a bag of Cheetos and started chewing....I was actually able to eat the whole bag without filling full..even when I hit the bottom of the bag. I was shocked..I waited three hours then I ate my protein...I got full off of 3/4 cup. I then waited a few hours and tried a whole wheat bagel and found out that again I could eat the bagel and not  feel feel full..btw I ony ate the top part.
So in my little experiment I proved what i knew all along...if i eat those evil carbs first i can eat more then IF I do the program and do protein first. My other point is simple we can not stretch out actual pouch but we can stretch our stomas.
After this little experiment the next day I tried to eat a baby ruth and I dumped..OMG I was miserable for 5 hours...Dont know if the cheetos helped me in that but now I can truthfully say I dump on sugar! and I must say its about time. But the sad part of my experiment is this I gained almost 4 pounds..URRRGGHHH.

I had to laugh Patty, because though it was great investigative reporting....I have dreamed of testing the tummy myself. I have had to yank myself back into reality. I feel certain I could use melt in my mouth chocolate and many other slider foods to test this.....but I also know I have over 20 lbs yet to lose and I need to be strict too....I have this fear that if I eat the forbidden foods my face will turn purple or some strange thing so that it won't ever happen again...but I do know that it is still up to me to make the right choices.....
I loved this! You are so honest and I also think we are strangly related! LOL

we could be related....
i had to try this...at 18 months post op it just made sense to me....believe me i will never do it again...i easily now get sick just like i did when i was a newbie

I carb crash if I eat any more than what I take in currently.  I had 2 cups of popcorn at the movies last weekend.  When I got home and stopped for 5 minutes I crashed and slept for 3 hours.  No way could I handle a bagel or Cheerios!!

Winnie i thought popcorn was the big no no cause it has no nutritional value and can get stuck...
i promise you i didnt sleep till way late to busy going to the potty and thinking why oh why

I know it's a big no-no but I go to the movies 2 to 3 times a year.  I'm going to have a little popcorn when I go regardless of what the doc or nut say.  I suffered from it a little but it wasn't too bad since I ate slowly.  Most of the effects were after when I crashed.  Everyone needs a little rebellion from time-to-time.  If we don't, we are more likely to be consistently bad than infrequently bad.  That was my 3rd time in 6 months.  I'd say I'm doing okay.

Winnie I loves ya! I just worry that that little kernal gets stuck and you will end up back in the hospital...
I have tried Chester's popcorn which is not really pop corn at all...but by golly ya cant tell the difference...so maybe next time ya go you  could try that....

Carbs are way evil!  They go down really easily and never fill you up!  It is a slippery slope back to plus sizes!!!  Be very wary of the evil carb!!! 
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

I told this Saturday..I had gone back to drinking diet mountain dew..I would shake it till it went flat...what goes with pop???evil carbs...One old bad habit will lead to another and another..is it worth tempting the waters..No
Just like an alcoholic one drink is not enough one is to many..it always leads back to wanting more.

Yes, those evil carbs will get us every time!!  I really get tired and want to sleep all day when I eat too many carbs.  Now protein, on the other hand, is good and promotes energy!
