6-month surgiversary update

Hi, Everyone.
Six months ago today, I had my VSG. I've lost 55 lbs. since the surgery (96 lbs. since my first appointment with Dr. Walton, and 123 lbs. since my highest weight). I've lost 35 inches overall, since surgery (don't know about before that).  While the scale still hasn't budged, for nearly a month now, I'm still happy with my progress. I know I probably would not have lived to see this day, had I not had the surgery. It saved my life, and I'm very grateful.
Thank you all for your support. With school coming to a close, I hope to make it to Edmond for a support group meeting sometime soon. This time, I'll introduce myself. :)
Blessings,
Mary

Every lb lost is a step to a new you... inside and out. I am certain that each of those steps brings more healing to you too. You have done wonderful! You have remained positive and so encouraging to so many on this board. Your confidence shows in your statement that you would introduce yourself next time you come to a meeting and I find that exciting for you! I understand this pause or body adjusting but I am like you, in that I am ok with it....I am more concerned with my mental crud than the lbs....they tell me that gets better too, so I will just cope.
Let me know when you are coming so I can make arrangements to be there to see the changes! You are a beautiful lady Ms. Mary...inside and out!

Thanks, Sherry. I understand the mental and emotional challenges that come with post-op life. If you ever want to vent or chat, just PM me.
Thank you for all your support in the past. It's wonderful to see the changes in you.
Blessings,
Mary

Mary-

Congratulations on your huge accomplishments! The best is yet to come for you and the rest of us. I just wanted to personally thank you for your kindness, upbeat spirit and prayers! You always seem to have amazing wisdom that others of us only strive to attain.

Happy Surgiversary! Enjoy your day!

Thank you for your kind words, Cylie. I'm not sure I deserve all of them, but I do want to be like that. :)  You're doing wonderfully well, and I'm so happy for you.
Blessings,
Mary

Mary;

Congrats on the six months and the weight loss! You are doing a great job and are always so encouraging and positive and you seem so patient....- I think having a positive attitute and the ever blessed patience (something I seriously lack!) is a major key to success!! I know your next six months are going to be very successful as well!!

(50 lbs lost pre-op)
