MOTHER'S DAY IN HEAVEN
Mother's Day In Heaven
(Dedicated to my Mom -
I miss you, and look forward to seeing you again!)
It’s your first Mother’s Day in Heaven –
I'm so thankful that you're not alone;
As you behold the face of our Saviour,
And are blessed to worship at His throne.
Mom, I would love to send you flowers,
Though their fading glory could not compare
To the beautiful sights and sounds of Heaven,
And your very own mansion over there.
I never thought so much about Heaven,
As I have since you’ve gone home to that place –
Oh Mom, I miss you so very much,
And I long to see your precious face.
You see, this earthly home now seems more empty –
Its glitter and glamour can no more impress;
For Heaven is the place of God’s truest riches –
Where our Father only keeps the best!
Since you turned and trusted in the Saviour,
An amazing change has taken place;
Dwelling in the presence of Jesus now,
In Heaven - only because of His grace.
It’s your first Mother’s Day in Heaven –
With everlasting joy and peace up there.
Oh Mom, I miss you so much now,
But I know our reunion will be beyond compare.
This poem was written by a man named Jerry for his Mother. Special thanks for allowing me to share with my Mother.
I love you and miss you Mom. You were the best Mom in the whole world. I can't wait to see you again. Hugs and Kisses. I love you, Rita
Thank you so very much for posting this, as this is the first Mother's Day without my mom as well. In fact, her birthday is on Mother's Day this year; she would have been 65. I lost her on August 2, 2008.
My heart goes out to you and it just doesn't seem to get any easier without Mom, so I know so well what you are going though. God Bless you and comfort you on Mother's Day.
Big hugs and thank you again so much for posting that.

I am so sorry for your loss and what you are going through as well. As I just stated to Rita....It doesn't get easier without them. You just learn to cope with the loss. I honestly was afraid to let it get easier, as that would mean I had forgotten about it and I didn't want to forget. Each of us has to learn how to deal with our losses and each in our own time frame. You too will learn how YOU must cope with your loss. Don't put a time frame on it. It will come when you are ready.
I am so deeply sorry for your loss too.
Hugs.
Sherry
Thank you for your kind words. You always know exactly what to say. I just finished watching that movie Benjamin Button, which started the waterworks. Not to mention my sister called at some point during the movie and left a message telling me how she was feeling down. I didn't get to call her back yet, because I am now logging on to work.
But, I can't stress enough how much this forum and all of you mean so much in having a support group not only for weight loss, but for other life trials. We have all gone through many painful times in some way or another and I am just thankful to have this forum.
I wish everyone a happy and healthy Mother's Day.

Thank you so much and I take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering and I know she is in a much better place. She is also the reason I started seeking the lap band. She had mentioned it to me about a year before her health really failed, I believe in 2005. She always worried about my weight.
I was looking at the picture you posted of your mom, and I could tell by looking in her eyes she was an amazing and loving woman. I can imagine you had many good times with her.
Please know I will be thinking of you on Mother's Day.
Big Hugs
