 Friends,
As you know, Sunday is Mother's Day, and I want to wish each of you mother's and step mother's, a very Happy Mother's Day. If you aren't a mother, then Happy Mother's Day to your mom's!

Do you have a Mother's Day that stands out in your mind? A happy memory of your mother or being a mother?? Let's share these happy moments.

I have so many Mother's Day's that stand out in my mind, but one in particular makes me laugh every year. I was rushing to get everyone ready for church and of course I was the only one getting everyone going...I was just done fixing breakfast and called to my eight year old daughter to hurry up! She walked in with the most sweetest expression on her angelic face, of course, making me feel quilty for being so crabby. She sang her words " Happy Mother's Day" and handed me her hand made card. I hugged her and tears welled up in my eyes......then...... I felt the wad of gum, tightly wound to her skull, in the back of her long hair....I laughed and cried at the same time....Everything stopped dead in it's track. This was going to be a Mother's Day to remember....that is what being a mother is all about ... The sweetness of the child along with the wads of gum in life. Out came the peanut butter and an hour of working on saving her hair. We never made it to church, but over these 31 Mother's days, since that one, I have always remembered that one special day!

Man!  I am so blessed with 4 wonderful children ages, 42 to 32 yrs old and they, in turn, are blessed along with me, with 11 wonderful Angels ages 17 to 10 months. What a clan! Isn't motherhood wonderful?!!!!! God bless you on this special day!

Sherry, I dont have a single favorite Mother's Day Moment...reason she has been dead since 1989 so every memory I have is special from the first time I made her a card to when I made the money for the first time to buy her a present and my sister bought the same thing at a different store...to her last Mother's Day that we spent in the hospital....each moment with   her was special....
being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it

But Patti, how wonderful that you have so many in your memory box! I think she must have been a very special lady! She raised a wonderful daughter!

Sherry, What a wonderful idea!  I can't count the number of wonderful Mothers Days I have been blessed to have.  I have two awesome kids, my son is 18 & my daughter is 16.  I can recall one Mother's Day in particular when I was served breakfast in bed, it was the most delicious cereal with milk I have ever enjoyed, even though it was the really sugary kind that my kids loved!
Happy Mother's Day to all of you!!

Sherry,

What a wonderful memor to share..  Since my kiddos are only 4, I have enjoyed getting the hand made cards and picking the red roses from my rose bush..LOL..  But it's so special and sweet of them to think of me in that way...  It took me 8 years to become a mom and I am so blessed to have my 2 little ones.  I try to treasure all of the occasions the good, bad, and ugly..LOL..

What a GREAT topic,
Sheila
