What wonderful news about your thyroid!  You are having your surgery on my birthday, guess I will remember your surgiversary easily, won't I?  Best wishes!

Debbie, no, he said that he doesn't do the thyroid surgeries anymore, so if I do have to get the thyroidectomy he'll refer me to a colleague.  

Great news. Now I gope to hear good news from the follow up ultrasound tomorrow as well. I am not hurting anymore so I am hopeful it will show the cysts shrinking.
