stall
My scales are at a standstill too, but I know that there is nothing I can do to change it. There are times that your body has to adjust to this procedure. I want to lose too, but I am doing exactly what I am supposed to do, so that sorta means, give it time and then it will begin again. What bothers me more are the people who are asking why I am not losing more...why I stopped losing....How much have you lost?? All their questions are what bothers me more than the scales saying hang on for a bit then we will lose again. I would just say hang on cause there is more to lose.

Emily, and to all those that THINK they are stalled at being out a few months.
Your body is adjusting to the weight you have lost. YOu are not stalled that comes later. Whats going on is this...pardon the example...when you blow up a ballon to the max its tight and looks and feels full if you let some of the air out...the ballon has to adjust to the less air...it then stablizes and then when more air is released it again has to adjust and stablize to less air. The difference between you and that ballon is simple you are losing FAT and gaining MUSCLE which weighs more....So sweetcakes you are gaining muscle and losing weight..which aas Martha Stewart says "is a good thing".
When i went through this I would up my protein a little and it would snap me back...

being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it
I went through one about 2 weeks ago!! It was depressing, but I just went back on my liquid diet (water, protein shakes, etc.) for two days and started losing again!! A girlfriend of mine had the same surgery 9 months ago and thats what she does when she hit a stalling period and it works everytime!! I ended up losing almost 5 pounds in three days after my stall!! Stay positive, it will come off one way or another!!!
