Down in the dumps...
DON'T GIVE UP!! WE ALL GO THRU THIS. IF I DON'T GET TO GO TO THE BATHROOM,IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN, THEN I DON'T LOSE ANYTHING. SO I HAVE TO MAKE SURE I GO ONCE OR TWICE A WEEK. ALSO THAT TIME OF THE MONTH PLAYS WITH ME. THERE ARE LOTS OF REASONS BUT YOU WILL GET OVER THIS BUMP IN THE ROAD. YOUR BODY IS ALSO PROBABLY GOING HEY WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?
It is ESSENTIAL for you to contact your dietitian and go over your food journals and see where you diet can be tweeked. There is a reason they are available to us - to help us. You also need to put away the scales for now - focus on getting your nutritional needs, exercise, water. You are still early in your journey and these are the things you should be formimg habits on.
My suggestion is to make a call asap and schedule with your dietitian immediately. You can lose ground quickly and you need to stop that directional downfall. Your mindset is just as important - you need to develop good habits now while your body is adjusting.
Hang in there - no one said it was going to be easy.....

THE ABILITY TO CONTINUE IN THE PRESENCE OF FEAR.
But seriously - thank you, Ruth for sharing your experience and knowledge with all of us. It really does help to be able to hear from those who have gone down the road before us.
Love ya,

I still eat and do what I am told. I know in my head it will work itself out but the emotional part of me isn't dealing with it well.

I wish I had gained a pound earlier. My weight crept down, sometimes slowly, sometimes not at all-but never UP. After awhile, I became almost phobic about it. When the scale finally DID go up-all the feelings of "this is the beginning of the end came crashing in....." Only, I realized, that it WASN'T the beginning of the end.
Part of the problem with successful weight loss is that we get into a biggest loser mindset and focus on the scale too much-and sometimes lose site of the bigger picture-health. You didn't get your surgery to develop a surgical eating disorder did you? You got it to be healthy. Focus on that (and try not weighing every day).
