On the next episode of "Scrubs: Oklahoma Edition"
Yeah thats right, I am back in school. Not really to do what I WANT to do but its in the same field and will oepn some doors to what I am wanting to pursue. The school I had been going to offered to let me come back and finish up. Yeah it wont transfer anywhere but I will at least have a degree in medical assisting and be making nearly twice as much as I am right now selling auto parts. And more money in this economy is a big thing. I will be done in November and do my externship in December. Then its the test after the new year and I will be giving shots and taking BP. Next step will be Radiology school in 2010 or 2011.
So if you all have been wondering where I have been its been work, school, sleep, work, school, sleep, party, drag ass through work, nearly fall asleep in class, sleep, etc etc. Love and miss everyone on here and will be around when I can be.

Hang on the medical field is a crazy but fun ride. I have been a cna for almost 13 years and there is nothing I love more than my job. I wanted to be an RN when I grew up and was in school doing just that when I had a car accident in 2002 that left me with a brain injury that effects my short term memory. I decided being a nurse was something I would never be able to do because of the stress. I love my job as what I call a butt wiper and I make almost as much as a LPN and I don't have any paper work and I get more one on one care with my pt's. Good Luck with school and Radiology is a good field to go into ( its fun to)
Dan,
Congratulations! You are moving in the right direction! I have a niece that's a medical assistant, she loves it. I have another niece that started out in Radiology and is now Dysemistrist (SP?) at a cancer center. You can't go wrong with either field! I know it's tough right now, but it will be so worth it! We do miss you around here though.
Hugs,
Marsha
