I'm 5 days from having my surgery, and so today I started on my liquids.  I also went and have my pre-op labs and things done at the hospital today. So I am ready to GO!!  I'm so excited to be back on the schedule to get this done and that this Dr. is going to do the R-N-Y not just the lapband that would have been done 3 yrs ago when I first started on this journey.

Congrats on being so close to your surgery date.  Hang on for a wild ride!  Good luck with the liquids.  It can get pretty hard at times but it is so worth in in the long run.
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

Yes it has been a VERY long road.  I am so excited to be this close to being a loser.
No liquids isn't fun but necessary.  Sounds like your doing great with the weight loss too. Wow, you have to be on liquids for so many days, I only have to be 5 days on liquids.  But I will save you a seat on the losers bench. I'm sure we'll have it all nice and ready for you!  Good luck with the rest of your journey.

It's hard to get through the liquid stage, but it's so worth it!  You are so close to your date, you're going to get there!!  Congratulations, take care of yourself!  We're scooting down on the bench for you!

I thought I'd post this for you. This is what I did on the liquid phase and it did help some. Good luck! You will be on real food before you know it!

Sherry

Remember you need a real good strainer for these ideas. I checked with my nut before adding anything and had the approval except no tomato products. If in doubt...call your nut to be sure. After simmering, let the mixture sit, to fuse the flavors and vitamins. I kept a container to put the left over veggies in to use when I make a soup for the mushie stage....I am not wasting anything! lol Its in my freezer. You can also add unflavored Whey protein to any soup to give it a creamier texture.
Egg Drop soup minus the egg pieces
Beef Broth
Chopped onions (to make an onion soup)
Green peppers and chopped onions
Green onions for a different onion taste
Carrots/ celery/ onions
A shot of soy sauce
A shot of Worcestershire
Chopped cabbage/onions,
celery/carrots
No tomatoes without asking your doctor...We can't at WW.
Chicken Broth
Add some poultry seasoning,
chopped celery and carrots
Shrimp broth/ It's not fishy tasting like you would think...It has a bisque type flavor
Old Bay
Use any fresh veggies you like or enjoy to flavor the broth for the vitamins but this has to be strained very well to be free of particles.
