Sorry I haven't been around much!
Between being sick and having company I haven't had time for being online much. I had to blog to get some frustration out today though (gah!). Here it is, rather than c/p'ing or retyping everything.

Meg,
I am so sorry that things have taken longer and that there is other health issues going on with you right now. But it is better to know about them and figure out what it is instead of worrying. I know that does not help the thought of another surgery but at least you know you will be healthy when this is all done.

I just read your blog and I will tell you that it doesn't always take that long to heal from the surgery. My daughter had a huge goiter and went through surgery to take her thyroid out....they only took half when they were to take it all out...her uptake showed when she was pregnant this last time, that she was way to toxic...that is when they discovered she still had 1/2 of it. They were forced to remove the rest of it again, while she was preg to protect the baby.....They just did the radioactive treatement and it still shows a 40 on her uptake(without a thyroid gland!) so she may have to do it again....The scar on the neck is not bad now even after going in twice to remove it. That was a fear that she had too. My daugher is 33. She bounced back quick with each surgery. It has been the effects of the toxins in her from the excess thyroid. I hope they find out only good things on your tests. You will get this surgery!! I know it! If you ever have any questions about any of the thyroid, I'm sure my daughter wouldn't mind if you talked to her. Take care!
