Wish me LUCK!

My daughter's school is taking approximately 80 sixth graders to Camp Classen in September for 5 days of outdoor school. Because of Giorgi's special needs, her doctor recommended that I go as a counselor. I found out today that because of my medical background I was automatically chosen to go. We will be hiking up mountains, playing sports, etc -- all things I could not even imagine doing a year ago. I am not sure whether to be excited or scared. LOL

WOW, Nancy!!  That is an awesome thing.  To be able to play with your daughter and do those things.  I know you will be fine and those are going to be some great memories.  I wish I could go back in time and enjoy activities with my kids but I am going to be able to with my grandson!!!  That's great!!!  (I think your fear will be with the group of 80 KIDS and not the activities!!!!) LOL

It is definitely the 80 kids I am scared of!!!! How that week goes will determine if I go back with Elizabeth in 2 years or give dad his turn!

You will have a blast.  However, you may well need a vacation- adults only- after that week!

That is a great honor to get to do this in so many ways. The fact that you CAN physically do it is wonderful, it is a special time for you and your daughter and then to be asked to go because of your medical background says alot about just a part of who you are! Congratulations! I think it is wonderful!! Of course we all already knew you were one special lady!
