Wt. loss?
I only lost 2 pounds this week and am a little disappointed. I could've lost that on any other diet. I know I won't lose as fast as the beginning but I hoped for just one more pound to get me out of the 200's. Don't be hard on me. I just need to vent. I know many people would love to lose this much. You kinda get used to losing at the faster rate and when you initially lose. I lost about half of the weight pre surgery and the other post surgery.
Thanks for listening!!
Thanks for listening!!
I know it's dissappointing for you to not have the large losses every week but it does happen even early on. Trust me, each and every pound adds up and before you know it you're there. You know that with no more food than you are eating the weight will come off. You just need to be patient!! We're here for you...just vent away!!!
Your body is taking a breather! You have made drastic changes in the basic structure of your anatomy (the surgery) and then cut your calories to almost nothing. You will lose again- when your body decides it is safe to lose more fat. It thinks you are in a famine right now and it better hang on to fat to protect it in case the famine gets worse. Make sense??
Okay, you have lost more weight now then you could have on any other diet...your BODY is saying hey whats up????Its holding on and rearranging itself to accomadate the new you.
I have not known a single person who has continusly lost weight at the same pace.
I am 17 months post op and after losing 75 pounds my body did that to me and then again around 180 and it has slowed down to hardly anything the last 2 months. Which is aggrivating to me cause I wanted to be at goal by now...So much for my luck..
Please dont let this bother you..it will pass. If you are not losing at all then I would be worried...
Good luck to ya and BTW you are doing fantastic

being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it
I think we all feel that way at one point or another. I could have so worte your post matter of fact I think I did when I wanted to bad to see my number switch from 300s to 200s. I couldn't believe it when I was earlier out but you really do sometimes seem to get much looser clothes during these slow down readjustment periods than while actively losing at a fast rate. You are doing grat and please keep our chin up.
Will chime in with basically the same thing. I am finally coming off (I hope) a 5 to 6 week stall. Have had maybe a week at the longest, but this is like unending!!! Even though you read posts all the time of long stalls, and know it's going to happen without doubt, it's hard to still go through. Last time I weighed this week, I dropped 5 lbs. I am still holding my breath till next week to see if it really was a break. Your weight will continue to drop, sometimes fast, sometimes slow, sometimes not at all. But realize it is the big picture of weight loss through out the mohths and even years, not day by day. Hang in there. Michael
