hey guys and girls,

as some of you know i had rny on 3/30. i went for my 2 week appointment today and ive lost 28 pounds.
after speaking w/ my dr he said today he thinks in the next month im going to only lose 16 more pounds.

ive been watching my diet really closely and have been working out 4-5 times a week for 30 minutes plus.

do you think his guess is acurrate or just time will tell?

it kinda wasnt that motivating but i know they are just trying to be realistic.

i know people go on 2-3 week stalls but i was just a little take back by that comment.

any input would be appreciate!

You're disappointed in 16 pounds in one month?  Really? Are you kidding me?  Are you crazed?  Lady!  That is simply wonderful.  How many diets have you ever been on where you lost 16 pounds in a month?

Remember, this is for the rest of our lives.  This is a marathon and not a sprint.  I promise, every single pound adds up and one day, very, very soon, you'll be at 100 pounds lost!

You are rockin' it!  Don't sweat it - enjoy the process!

Your doing great!  I only lost about 16lbs my first month, at my two week post op I was down 7.  Yes you won't loose 30lbs a month every month during that honeymoon period but  I seriously doubt your doctor has a crystal ball to know exactly what you'll loose.  That being said, ditto what she said, 16lbs in a month would have been fantastic before surgery!

Congrats on moving up to mushy!  It is so much better and you actually start to feel a little normal.  Congratulations on losing 28 pounds, that's wonderful!!!!  I am so proud of you for being so diligent on working out.  How is your energy level?  I am so tired this week.  I started back to work this week and it has been really good so far.  It is so good to get out of the house and the day goes by really fast.

Have a great night and get some rest.

By the way, lots and lots of hormones get stirred up when we have wls.  So it's perfectly normal for you to be up and down!  Just warn the family that you're not responsible and remove sharp objects from your reach!

Hey girlie,

We had WLS on the same day.  I've lost 32 lbs. so far.  I've noticed that everyone's weight loss is less each month as the months go by so I think that's normal.  I get to start on mushy today too and am excited.  I never thought I'd be so happy to eat an egg.
