My WOWDay

I went to get my hair cut today. I paid with a check and the stylist asked for my ID. When she handed it back she said, "Wow, is that you? You are SKINNY now!" It has been a long time since I have been referred to as skinny!
After that I went to let the girls pick out new dresses for Easter and did something I have not done in a long time -- I bought myself a dress too. Except for the boys' weddings, I have not worn a dress in a very long time. I even bought shoes with a small heel -- in the past I only bought flats.

My sister in law had a Roux-en-y several years ago and did not get her license changed after she lost the weight.  A police officer pulled her over and needed to see her license.  He almost took her in for fraud because he stated she could not have been the person in the picture.  She had to produce her work ID that had her new picture to prove she was who she was.  She also had him ask her for a date.  Too bad she was married.

I've been getting some questions about my DL too.  I am determined to not get it changed until I am under 200 but its starting to make me nervous in case I get pulled over.  I know what you mean about the dress and heels.  I showed up at work in a dress and heels last week and everyone went nuts!  I NEVER wear dresses and have only worn flats for the past 20 years.  Its kind of fun being girlie every now and then!

Congrats!  Isn't it exciting to be able to wear heels and not have feet that are screaming in pain before you even get out of the front door?  I am loving the whole experience myself.

BTW I found out the hard way...if you lose weight a significant amount GET YOUR LICENSES UPDATED! Since 9/11 the police can give you a ticket for the pic not looking like you....How do I know lets just say nw122nd in OKC has a motorcycle cop that loves to pull me over just to check my ID....

I plan on going this week to get a new license. For those who don't know, effective May 1st there are new requirements going into effect that your name on an airline ticket must match EXACTLY the name on your ID or you can not fly. Since I have been traveling so much and am supposed to fly again in mid May I don't want to take a chance that they will not let me fly because my photo does not match.

I jinxed myself today. I was driving down 1-44 and got pulled over for speeding..the officer looked at my licenses and said they didnt look like me. I explained I had wls and that I had lost more weight since that pic was taken. He told me I had to go immediatley and have them updated or he would give me a 200.00 ticket. I was like WTH....he actually had me follow him to a tag agency...So another DL for me....Oklahoma is making a money off of my weight loss

At least he was nice enough to escort you and not just write the ticket! I actually went this morning and had a new one made. And I actually like my picture now!

How exciting for you Nancy. I can't wait til I can buy some new (smaller) clothes. Right now I am shopping in my closet.
