So ok I have had a VERY rough week to say the least, but something good has come out of it!!!

Yesterday I went with 170 6th and 7th graders to a bad competetion at Sandy Lake down in Dallas or the area they called it Dallas but I dont think it is but anyways.  First they score ALL the bands in the competetion a 1 being the best you can get. Our school was the ONLY oklahoma school to compete. First off we got our 1 so that was a huge wooohooo, but out of all the schools that scored a 1 we also was the BEST band as well so we came home with 2 trophys!  It was cute cause we had one little boy come up to one of ours and was like your from Oklahoma?  Of course the little boy tells his yes, and the little texas boy said you know all these other schools are texas there isnt any way you will actually win this!!!! Welp. we did, and that little man came back and shook our little kids hand and said guess you did it huh.  Too cute!!!

BUT for my WOW! Sandy lake has a few rides in the amusement park, I FIT omg I FIT !!!!!  Yup I fit with room to spare!!!!  We rode the paratrooper, sizzler and the tilt a world, and it was such an amazinf feeling to actually fit in a ride!

I also want to thank everyone for their words of encouragement! I read all of them and yes I cried! Thank you for being the best support group a person could ever possibly want or need!

Hugs

I'm not sure but I think the WOW was that you went out of town with 170 kids.     But really, a BIG congrats on the fitting on the rides.  That is one of my goals.  Congrats also on the 1's.  I know the kids, parents, and school are so proud of them.  Also brings back memories when my son would bring home 1's from state competitions for orchestra (he played the viola) and for choir.

You deserve a medal for heading out with all those kids....Big HUGS.  I liked the story about the little guy who was big enough to admit he was wrong.  Ok, I'll admit it, I misted up a bit.  I don't know why, it was just sooo touching.

Hugs to you my buddy!
