I'm not a huge sushi fan so I'm not sure what's in a tuna roll? Is there any rice? If so, nope, I wouldn't eat it! Canned tuna was allowed after 2 weeks for many of us here. But I urge you to follow your surgeion's instructions to the letter! They are some smart peeps!
I am almost 3 years out and I have worked it out to have sushi once or twice a month - I normally cannot eat a whole roll so tend to share it with my buddies. Also I never have any raw fish - I have never been able to stomach the texture - usually it is baked crab or something along that line. But I am also almost 3 years out. I cannot even imagine having the ability to eat rice so quickly after surgery. I don't think I even attempted it at all until the past few months. However, we are all different bears when it comes to what we can and cannot eat. I know I barely was able to eat a 1/4 of a cup 1 - 2 times a day early out.
Please make sure you follow your restrictions - it is in your best interest and it will help you drop the weight in the early days. Good Luck on your journey!!

I still don't eat a lot of rolls-the rice is super sticky and super sweet and I can't risk an expensive puke, so I eat the fish only (and for the life of me I can't think of the term-nori? no, that's paper. sashimi I think). But I also eat raw AND cooked. Just to be on the safe side, I waited several months to go for the raw since I wasn't sure what dangers that held.
Here's the thing-if you really love sushi and can chew the dickens out of it (like I do) then it's a good thing. If you don't, and don't want to chew it, then it might not be a good thing. The first time I ate Sushi after surgery the chef came over and shook my hand-he said "not everyone chews like you do!!!!"
